Ybor City Townhouses
In the heart of Ybor City, known for its history of cigar industry and immigrant communities, this new construction urban infill project was inspired by the historic ‘casita’ housing typology and was reinterpreted for modern living. An internal rain garden and lightwell was carved into the middle of the building for more natural light and a rooftop penthouse was designed to seamlessly open up to an exterior roof deck with incredible views of downtown and the Port of Tampa. The bulk of the building massing was pushed back so that the scale of the streetfront maintains and respects the historic scale and roof pitches of the adjacent casitas.
